I Cried Yesterday…

I’ve been working hard lately,
launching my Global Resorts
business. A lot is happening,
we are in high gear.

Yesterday morning, my 6-year-old
asked me if I could come early
to pick her up from her
day camp – in time to swim
with her at the pool.

Then she said, “They don’t
allow computers at the pool.”

I’ve been so busy – and to her
that means on the computer -
that I know she’s been missing
me.

So yesterday morning we had
breakfast together out on our
porch enjoying the view of the
valley. Enjoying the cooler
weather.

It was just the two of us,
no one else. And no computer.

I have to admit I had tears
in my eyes, wondering why I
wasn’t doing this more often.

And I was reminded of why
I am doing this business in
the first place.

I realized I was too caught up
in the mechanics and needed to
pull away.

That’s the beauty of working
for yourself, and on the internet.

You are in control.

You are in control of your own
schedule, and your own destiny.

(We had breakfast again this morning.)
