Thought for the week

Words have tremendous power to heal & bless,
and terrible force to harm & curse.

Our intention determines all. That’s why it’s important
to consider the person with whom we are speaking and
to know where our heart is.

Today, think before you speak. Be in control of every
word that leaves your mouth. Use your words as a force
for helping people.

Business Fitness….

As an entrepreneur, you probably find yourself fighting the balancing act everyday with customers, marketing, employees, and business development, let alone family, friends, and personal pursuits. With all this responsibility, do you find it impossible to fit in time to exercise? Of course you are not alone, many business people want to exercise, but it ends up low on the priority list, after business, family, and all the daily fires that need to be put out.

The irony of this all-too-common scenario is that regular exercise can provide the entrepreneur with business benefits you may have never imagined. Working out will improve not only your waistline, but your bottom line as well!
Energy to Last All Day

Regular exercise can give you the mental and physical energy to meet the challenges of running your business. The fact is, expending energy through physical activity creates more energy. Most business people find they are more productive and focused on the days that they exercise. They also end up moving around more during the day, burning more calories!
The long and erratic schedule of entrepreneurs requires the energy to deal with customer demands, emergencies, and the unexpected, sometimes long into the evening, all with the enthusiasm and clarity you would give it first thing in the morning. Effective, consistent exercise can give you that needed energy.

Make Exercise Your “Business Development” Time

When you think you are taking time away from work to exercise, look at exercise as business development time, especially when those solutions aren’t coming while you are stuck at your desk.

By stepping away from business, having some alone time and increasing your metabolism and circulation, solutions to problems will come to you, and new creative ideas will develop. Go for a quick walk, walk up and down some stairs, and wait for the ideas to flow!
Exercise and Multitasking

When you really need a reason to stop working and go exercise, don’t forget your continuing education. How much reading do you have to catch up on? Knowing you can keep up with industry news, continuing education or self-improvement reading can be a great motivator. Just grab your materials, a reading rack, and a cardio machine and you are ready to go! Don’t forget books on tape and all those training tapes you haven’t had time to listen to – nothing makes a workout go faster.

Whatever reason you can find to make exercise a priority, just know it will ultimately lead to more time, energy and money, which is healthy for any business!

Take the Time Before You Start Your Day…

How to prepare to Work your Home Based Business? Sounds simple sit down, and do the action, right? Well no. You have to prepare your mind and body for Productivity/Action!! Follow these steps to have more power or fuel to run your Business:

  1. Not everyone who is a Home Based Business Entrepreneur, has the luxury to do this Full-Time. So, you must first designate a time of the day that you will work your Business….and stick to that time no matter what!
  2. Before sitting at your computer, take 15 minutes to clear your mind do some personal development. Read a Chapter of the Four Hour Work Week, Think & Grow Rich, The Power of Intention. Then, after reading that take a few minutes, and visualize the work you will do.
  3. Now on Visualizing the Work you do visualize the Success and Ease at which it will be done. See the end result in your mind before you take the action!!
  4. Also, take this time to put the day behind you. Clear out work, meeting, commute, frustrations, hassles, and all that needs to be done for other things tomorrow. They will be there when you’re done, don’t allow to infiltrate the Action at hand.
  5. Now that you have done all that its Action time. Not email time, not youtube time, not ESPN time, not eBay time. It is time to dedicate to your Business and Action.
  6. If you complete your Action Advertising, 7-10 Ads, PPC, or Blog Entries with time left over now it is time to be a student.
  7. Turn off the music, get your Study Notebook, and open to be educated on new forms of advertising. Don’t hop around. If you are gonna learn PPC, Banner, Text, of Social Advertising, stay on topic until completed. Don’t start PPC then stop, stay the course until you have successfully completed it. The other opportunities to learn and do will be there I promise.
  8. Also, please do not fall for John broke the code, or this will propel your Business. Stay to your plan, and method of learning advertising from A to Z. NO ONE has broken any code. Seriously they haven’t.
  9. Finally, with the time remaining, plan your next day. In your Income Producing Calendar, map out where and why your are advertising tomorrow. Make sure it is done with detail, so when you repeat these steps tomorrow there is no wasted time, energy, or focus.

Successful Habits

No kind of achievement can be seen until we form certain habits. Being part of a home based business opportunity is no different, and will require us to form these crucial habits to begin to be successful with a home based business opportunity.

Creating success with your home based business needs us to focus on several areas, such as prospecting (marketing online), communicating with your team, and also regularly communicating with your upline. We also need to take a look at our goals, and be aware of where we are on the path to reaching those goals. It all boils down to being organized. And when we take these habits of prospecting(marketing online) and all the other things needed to create a successful Marketing Business get organized and create a habit which flows naturally in our day to day running of our home based Business we soon see that we have more time on our hands. All a habit really is, is taking an action which we do regularly, and by continually doing that action we soon forget about the action as a conscious action and start doing it unconsciously, which now becomes a habit.

Think of when you’re driving a route that you regularly travel. Have you had times when you get to your destination and can’t remember actually driving the journey? This is a habit. Some of the habits that are necessary to form a successful work at home business are:

Organizing time so you know what to do when. Forming the habit to actually take action during the times that you have allotted for your home based business.

The most important of all, to form the habit to market your home based business. Why form a habit? Forming a habit is important so it frees up more time. Imagine the first time you do something, whether it is something to do with your home based business opportunity or something else, you always find it hard to do it as you still have to learn the steps to doing it.

The whole point of all of forming the correct habits which we consciously start to form is so we can become more productive. It is the starting point of mastering anything and not just within your home based business opportunity. When you consciously start to implement certain things that you do with your home based business opportunity for the purpose of forming a habit then things become easier for you. When you master one thing, you can begin to work on other things within your home based business opportunity. Soon you will find that you are achieving much more than you did before. And this is important to achieve sustained success with your home based business opportunity. What you need to remember is that all habits begin to form after you apply that habit consistently for a period of 30 days or more, and can take anywhere up to a year to fully become ingrained and automatic in your daily l

COMMITMENT….

How Committed Are You to what You do? What are you willing to sacrifice? How Far are You Willing to Go for your Dreams? Do You Know Your Real Why? Do You Know Your Outcome? The Last One may be the most important….

Do you know your outcome? Most people/entrepreneurs if asked that question would say yes…but they have no idea what the outcome may or may not be. Are you willing to sacrifice everything in pursuit of your outcome? Homes, Cars, Relationships, and Short Term Money….for your shot at the True Outcome?

Outcome, is a culmination of all the real work, mental anguish, exhaustion, visualization, and energy you have put into your Business. Most people say they are willing to commitment to a lifetime for the one, that one single opportunity. Most people say they are willing to commit 20 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year…and a lifetime to their outcome. Outcome is designed, real, emotional, tangible, and so “LifeBlood”, that when you turn down something or someone, that will get you half way to your goal…say offering you $250,000 for your business….but it is not the outcome? TURN IT DOWN….Could you really do that?

Outcome, understands no economic situation. It needs nourished. It is not concerned with distraction. It does not care about Food, Water, Electric, Bills, Retirement, Vacation…it only desires what it set out for…the outcome. Do you have the same mindset as your outcome? Are you willing to put aside all the creature comforts and easy avenues of life to achieve the outcome? Are you willing to stake your entire Families Financial future on the outcome? Are willing to go down roads never seen or traveled by the average, only by the extraordinary to achieve your outcome?

Today is that day. This is road is that road. This commitment is that commitment. These hours are those hours. This ad is that ad. This business is that business. You are You!! Take the steps and the hardship necessary to achieve your outcome. If it is uncomfortable, that MEANS it is working. Don’t stop!!

Goal Setting Part 3

This will be the last of the series on Goal Setting. Mind you we spent a great deal of time talking about the Daily Action, Daily Routine, which is the Daily Advertising you must do to reach your short and long term goals!!! Remember, and this is as simple as I can put it, without the daily action of advertising, your goals, will only be dreams!!!

Now, the question I get most often in goal setting, outside of how do I reach them, is what is the best structure. Now, in looking at being an Entrepreneur online, your goals both professionally and personally are a direct reflection and intention of the mindset of your Business. Simply put…FORGET Instant Gratification. You are building a Business and your mindset is simple, your are always building, always growing, and any Business is a long term investment. Anyone, who has the mindset that I will try to do this for a while or I will give this online thing a shot, is doomed before they ever get started. Just like the movie Wall Street Says “You can’t be a little bit Pregnant”…well you can’t be a sometimes or a hopefully an entrepreneur. You live, you breathe, you study it, you developed for as long as it takes in building and achieving what you have always wanted!!!

Now in Goals there must be very Specific Items:

  • The Goal must be emotional. This goes to our teaching on the “Y”. Without an emotional and vested interest into something, it is easy to walk away from it.
  • Your Goals, just like the daily goals must be written out in detail. When I say Detail, I mean down to the very last crumb of information. Accompanying those details, writing out the emotional aspect beside it is an Awesome Idea!!!!
  • Have Pictures. Visualization of goals is not only important it is imperative. If you want a dream home on the Ocean…go find one that you have fallen in love with and take pictures. Why? A little saying I do: “Why are you working so hard? Look at the picture of your goals…and say this IS why I am working so hard”. The picture makes it very real and very tangible.
  • Goals must be more than Money, although financial goals are important. I knew a guy one time that wanted to one day go to his Bank and cash a check for $100,000 dollars. I told him to write the check out to himself, and carry in his pocket or wallet, wherever he keeps his money. That way, there is a constant reminder of what one day, will BE!!!
  • Goals, should never be about everyone else and not yourself. Although including friends and family in your goals are important, if there is not at least one self serving interest….that passion may soon fade. Here is an example of what a goal should not look like: “I want to be successful for my Family”…a noble goal to say the least. However, it is to general, no deadlines, and to interpretive to what Success actually mean.
  • Last, your Goals should be everywhere. In your Office, Car, Kitchen, Family Room, Bathroom, Nightstand, on your Phone, Screen savers…any where you are they are. Real Goals often provoke Real Action!!!

The question that is the most interesting that I get, is Why Don’t People do Goal Setting. That is the easiest answer of them all. Once you go through the exercise and do it the right way, you now OWN the outcome of what you achieve. When you don’t have goals, you can always shift blame onto someone or something else.

Goal Setting Part 2

Yesterday, we briefly touched the three elements to Action and Goal Setting, today I want to cover a very specific are in this Second Part of Goal Setting. That is a daily goal and action plan. Often times in goal setting we look 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, and 5 years down the road. That is very, very important, but the day to day is what we’ll get us there.

I found a very useful and quite frankly a resource I found to be invaluable in my day to day goals and income producing activities. I got a journal by Pat Croce, the Do it Now Journal. I bought it at Barnes and Noble for $5.95. It changed the way I did and structured everything. It is entitled “Daily Action Plan for Guaranteed Success” It does an incredible job of structuring your day to focus only on the Income Producing activities. The layout the function and the usability is just off the charts!!!

Now Goals.  Without the daily action steps, your will never realize those longer term goals. Understand that if you marketing anything online, from the Reverse Funnel System to Carbon Copy Pro, to Information Marketing, the daily action, consistent never taking a day off will be the key to achieving all your goals!!!

Your Daily goal should look like the following:

  1. Place 5-7 New Ads a Day…period. Not all in spot either, that only counts as one. 7 Ads on craigslist does not count as 7, it counts as one ad one place, no matter what the number is.
  2. Spend 1 Hour being a Student everyday. If your goal is to be proficient in PPC, SEO, or Banner Advertising, you must take the time to learn your craft. One hour per day fully immersing yourself in study, through time will make you achieve that goal.
  3. Spend 30 minutes a day Brainstorming. You must get the creative juices flowing. This will allow you to write better content, review others content on the Internet to enhance yours. Brainstorming maybe more ways online and offline to drive more traffic.
  4. Spend 30 minutes on Personal Development. Take this time to read or Listen to Tony Robbins, Napoleon Hill, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, James Allen, or anyone as guide to your mindset and personal development.
  5. Spend 30 minutes to prepare tomorrows Income Producing activities. You should plan tomorrows goals, that way when you sit down in front of your computer, you are taking action. Your are not researching and figuring out what to do, that has been done and you are ready to set into motion that plan. It is critical that you do not waste time during those income producing activity time!!! That is the time to drive traffic and drive traffic only…nothing else.

Understand without the steps 1-5, your long range goals will be just that, long range and feel terribly unattainable. It starts and ends with today. Your Daily Goals will build momentum, create action, create conversions, eliminate frustration and procrastination!!!!
