Make sure you do your keyword research! It’s so important to put some thought and research into finding good keywords to focus on. If you don’t make this investment, then your articles won’t bring you much traffic. So don’t even bother.

Each article should utilize one good keyword. If you find a really good keyword, then you may want to write a couple of different articles using that one keyword.

A keyword is simply a word or phrase that people type into search engines such as Google. So let’s say, I am looking for tips on how to train my dog.

I might type “dog training” into Google. Or I might type “how to train a dog”, or “dog training tips”.

As a website owner on Dog Training Tips, I WOULD NOT want to take a guess at what people are typing in and thus use that as my keyword in my article marketing.

I might GUESS that “dog training tips” is the most commonly typed in keyword (of the three above), and go with that. But the keyword research tools will TELL me which of the three is searched on the most. It could be any of the three. WE don’t know.

So, DON’T try and guess which keywords to use, use the research tools to TELL you which is the best keyword to use for any particular article.

To learn how to place the keywords throughout the article. The primary keyword should be in the first three words of both the title and the summary. (title, body, summary, keyword field).
